    STEVEN HOLTZMAN

    FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

    With 25 years of experience Steve has overseen the creation of over 600 hours of television and feature film. Most recently he produced Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey for which he won a Peabody Award and PGA’s Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy. He has worked on film and TV for ABC, CBS, FOX, Paramount, Disney, SYFY, Discovery, History, and National Geographic Channel. He was the VP, Production of Atlas Media for 6 years and the Director, Business Development at Banyan Productions for 3 years.

    DANIEL GREGOIRE

    FOUNDER / DIRECTOR

    With nearly 20 years experience, Dan Gregoire was most recently Director of Game Cinematics for the award-winning gaming blockbuster EVOLVE and Animatics Director for the popular FOX TV show COSMOS. Simultaneously, for the last 15 years Gregoire has been the Previs Supervisor / Director for leading directors on several of the most exciting motion picture and gaming projects in the entertainment industry. He began his career with a four year run at George Lucas’ JAK Films and worked with Lucas as Previs Supervisor on Star Wars Episode II, III and THX 1138 at the famed Skywalker Ranch. In 2003 Gregoire established HALON, a dedicated previs studio in Los Angeles. At HALON, he has lead high profile previs projects including JJ Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness, Marc Forster’s World War Z, Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens, Andrew Stanton’s John Carter, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, The Spiderwick Chronicles with Mark Waters and War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with Steven Spielberg. In addition, under Gregoire’s watch as owner and CEO, HALON Entertainment has contributed previs and final visual effects on numerous commercials and films for such companies as DreamWorks Animation, Paramount, Universal, Apple, AMD, The Mill, Method, NBC and more. Gregoire has supervised visual effects for George Lucas and Michael Mann and is developing several internal projects for future release. A pioneer in his field, Gregoire is also a founding member and Treasurer of the Previs Society and speaks internationally on the intersection of storytelling and technology in a virtual world.

    Shauna Heller

    SHAUNA HELLER

    VIRTUAL REALITY PLATFORM ADVISOR

    Shauna has spent 10 years in interactive and immersive technology and has emerged as a valued thought leader on virtual reality. Most recently, she was the developer relations specialist at Oculus, where she managed developers creating non-gaming VR applications for enterprise, education, entertainment and heath care. Prior to Oculus, Shauna worked with boutique creative technology companies as an advisor and director of business development strategy. Her areas of expertise include platform integration for virtual and augmented reality, plus VR/AR content creation and delivery. Shauna maintains deep relationships across the Hollywood entertainment industry from visual effects, motion capture and production to distribution and advertising. In addition, she remains active in the location-based entertainment market, where she executive directs initiatives to bring emerging technology and content to theme parks, museums, exhibitions and retailers.

    MICHAEL OLIVER

    CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

    Michael cut his chops designing pipelines, tools, and infrastructure for post production and visual effects.  He has spent over a decade designing systems and developing technical solutions for Hollywood which have touched over 100 major motion pictures, television, and other special venue projects. Previously Michael was responsible for the design, build out and expansion of a premier post production visual effects company from a small single shop into a multi-national entity.  He thrives on developing solutions enabling artists to realize their creative vision.  Michael’s deep knowledge of corporate infrastructure, security, network design, systems architecture, pipeline automation, distributed storage, and compute clusters form the backbone necessary to remain efficient, competitive, and on the bleeding edge of new technologies.

    Eric Feig is a veteran transactional entertainment lawyer and founder of Eric Feig Entertainment & Media Law, Inc., a new breed of entertainment law firm which emphasizes concierge level client services, an entrepreneurial approach to legal matters and creative fee structuring.  Eric has a rich and well-rounded career of entertainment transactional experience. For almost twenty years, he has represented a wide variety of top Hollywood and international screen writers, actors, directors, producers, authors, and journalists, including Academy Award winners, in the areas of film, television, book publishing, new media, mobile content, licensing and merchandising.

    FARSHID ALMASSIZADEH

    Farshid has nearly 25 years of experience in the computer, video, and mobile gaming industry. He was most recently COO at GlobalWide Media, where he is responsible for all technologies, daily operations, and overall growth of the company. Prior to that, Farshid was the VP and COO of Electronic Arts Interactive, a $1.2 billion division that included EA Mobile, Pogo, Playfish, and PopCap Studios. He joined EA and Maxis in 2003 to establish the Sims Console Division. Farshid’s initial foray into the gaming industry was co-founding one of the premiere independent development studios, known as Presto Studios, Inc. in 1991.

    RICHARD KERRIS

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Over 25 years experience in the technology sector, Kerris has held a number of executive positions including CMO at GET.IT & Kinetic Minds, Sr Director of Developer Technologies at Apple from 2001-2007, Chief Technology Officer at Lucasfilm from 2007-2011, VP of Worldwide Developer Relations at HP and directed global teams to develop locally relevant apps for Nokia. In 2012 Kerris was Mobile App Technical Consultant for the Rolling Stones ‘50 & Counting’ tour. Kerris worked directly with the band, their tour production and crew – producing exclusive content & videos for the FanApp.
